Who will be coming into your home?

Every Izzy Care Solutions carer holds an enhanced DBS check, completes the Care Certificate, and is trained in safeguarding, moving and handling, medication and first aid before their first visit. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission under location ID 1-16954979936.

How we choose our carers

Every applicant is interviewed in person, and we take up references and check employment history before anyone is offered a role. We look for people who are genuinely good company as well as competent, because a carer who can hold a conversation changes the whole experience of being cared for.

Once someone joins us, we carry out quality assurance visits and spot checks while care is running. That is how we know the standard is being kept, rather than assuming it.

What every carer is trained in

Training is completed before a carer visits a client, and it is refreshed as standards change. Every member of our care team is trained in:

• Safeguarding of vulnerable adults
• Moving and handling
• Emergency first aid and CPR
• Medication administration
• Infection control
• Food hygiene
• Dementia awareness
• Health and safety
• The Care Certificate

Carers either hold, or are working towards, an NVQ or QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. Our induction programme is updated whenever national standards change.

Will the same carer visit each time?

Wherever possible, yes. We match a small, consistent team to each client so that the person receiving care sees familiar faces rather than a different carer each visit. Continuity matters most in dementia care, where an unfamiliar person at the door can be distressing. Where a regular carer is on leave, we introduce the cover carer in advance rather than sending someone unannounced.

Checks we carry out

Enhanced DBS check on every member of staff. References taken up and verified. Right to work confirmed. Employment history checked for gaps. Our policies and procedures are maintained through QCS, the Quality Compliance Systems framework used across the care sector.
